NEW LOCATION F.A.Q.

When will you open on Bardstown Road?

Sometime in the fall of 2025. We don’t have a set date as of yet but will announce it on our socials as soon as we do.

Will the Frankfort Ave store stay open?

ABSOLUTELY. We love our spot on Frankfort Ave and are excited about how much more it can do in Clifton once it has a sibling store to help it serve customers on Bardstown Road. We will close briefly on Frankfort Ave when we first open on Bardstown Road to perform some much needed repairs and freshen up the space.

Will you be hiring?

We will! If you’d like to be the first to be notified when our call for applications goes live please visit the link here. We will open applications sometime in August with hiring to happen closer to store opening.

How much bigger is the new storefront?

The shop at 1330A Bardstown Road will be about 40% larger than our current storefront and will also have more back of house space and a dedicated entrance for buying and receiving records.

Does it have parking?

Yes! Customers will have access to limited spaces after 5pm on weekdays and during all shopping hours on the weekends! Street parking on Bardstown Rd and Bellwood and Rosewood Avenues is also available.

Will you have more in-store events?

We LOVE hosting in-store listening parties, signings, and performances when it makes sense for labels, artists and customers BUT we are a store first, not a venue. We do think that having more store space should eventually allow us to do more events between the two shops, but we will be focusing on running the stores themselves and being a good neighbor first.

How will the new store be different from the Frankfort Ave location?

We hope the two shops will feel like an organic extension of the other– similar vibes and offerings with more room for used records in both locations and a slightly larger CD selection in the new spot.

Why open on Bardstown Road?

There are a lot of reasons to open a business on Bardstown Rd but for us, it was ultimately a matter of timing. The combination of this precise location coupled with a thriving neighborhood and local business culture made us feel like this was the perfect spot to launch a second location. Bardstown Road’s long history serving Louisville’s music scene was the icing on the cake.
