Join us Wednesday, August 6th at 6pm and get a chance to hear the new album in a unique way — spun live by the band themselves. They’ll also be mixing up some refreshing mocktails for everyone to enjoy, and best of all, you’ll be able to grab an early physical release of Danger in Fives on CD, cassette, or vinyl before it hits the shelves on August 8th! “Snipe Hunter is the highly anticipated new album from singer-songwriter Tyler Childers. Comprised of thirteen songs, the release marks Childers’ seventh studio album, and the follow up to his Grammy-nominated, critically acclaimed Rustin’ In The Rain. All songs were written by Childers, and the album was produced by 9x Grammy winner Rick Rubin.”

We are so excited to announce a very special in-store performance with S.G. Goodman at 5:30pm on Wednesday June 25th in celebration of their new album "Planting by the Signs" (out 6/20 via @thirtytigers). The performance will be followed by a Q&A with Patrick Hallahan of My Morning Jacket.

Big news! We will be hosting an all ages, free to attend in-store performance with Cash Langdon on Thursday, June 19th @ 4pm!

Make sure to stick around after the performance for a chance to get some signed vinyl from Cash and the band!

Dogs (out May 2 on Seasick Records) is Cash Langdon’s second record under his own name, but the first joined by his band Meadow Dust (bassist Matt Whitson and drummer Reagan Bruce). Mostly recorded at Portside Studios (the former location of the legendary Muscle Shoals Sound) in just two days, engineer Brad Timko (Dan Sartain, St. Paul and The Broken Bones) captured the trio sounding fierce and tight. Their fuzzy take on heavy country rock recalls Neil Young & Crazy Horse and gives off the heat of Langdon’s native Birmingham. Like Young, his voice is simultaneously earnest and world-weary, but there’s a sense of humor too, and a resignation to keeping on (“Dogs”). These songs are beautiful, searing, southern-gothic testaments to the ongoing violence of being awake to the world around you (“Lilac Whiskey Noise”) and the resolve to stay awake anyway (“Magic Again”).

It’s listening party time again! We’re stoked to announce that we will be hosting a listening party to celebrate the release of Stereolab’s new album “Instant Holograms on Metal Film”. Coming out May 23rd, 2025.

Stereolab have shared details of their first studio album in 15 years, titled Instant Holograms On Metal Film.

Spanning 13 tracks, the record was written by the group’s Laetitia Sadier and Tim Gane, and performed by the pair together with Andy Ramsay, Joe Watson and Xavi Muñoz, who currently form the band’s touring lineup.

There are also guest contributions on the album from Bitchin’ Bajas’ Cooper Crain and Rob Frye; Ben LaMar Gay; and Cavern Of Anti-Matter’s Holger Zapf, among others.

Having gone through their trials, Car Seat Headrest are now ready for the next chapter in their career. It will astonish both longtime supporters and new fans. While Car Seat Headrest started as Toledo's solo project, it is now fully a band. “What we've been doing more of in recent years is just taking the pulses of each other. We’ve really been leaning into that sort of cocoon that started off with the pandemic years and just turned into this special space that we were creating all on our own,” says Toledo. “I was coming out of it as a solo project and it always just felt like it was in pieces. There's the album we're working on, and then there's a live show that we're doing, and then there's everything in between. And it didn't really feel to me like things got in sync in an inner feeling way until this record, with that internal communal energy. And it's become that band feeling for me in a much more realized way. That's been a big journey.” It is a journey that listeners will want to embark on again and again as they absorb and discover the rich depths and clanging resonances of The Scholars.
